Urgent Recall

Cancer Council Clear Zinc Kids SPF50+ 110g

Australians rely on Cancer Council to uphold the highest standards of product quality and integrity - and we take this extremely seriously.

We have identified that three batches of one of our products, Cancer Council Clear Zinc Kids SPF50+ 110g, do not meet our quality standards and are initiating a product recall to ensure customers continue to receive the level of quality they expect from us.

Which products are affected?

  • Cancer Council Clear Zinc Kids SPF50+ 110g (AUST L: 430534, Barcode 9321299800661)
  • Batch 1141313 – Expiry: June 2027
  • Batch 1143730 – Expiry: August 2027
  • Batch 1146857 – Expiry: November 2026

In agreement with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), we are recalling the affected batches due to potential product separation.

The affected products may have an uneven texture and may show water separating from the formula. If the product separates it may be more difficult to spread evenly on the skin, leading to variability in application and potentially reduced product performance and efficacy.

If the ingredients are separated and no longer properly mixed, the SPF rating of the sunscreen may change and may cause inadequate protection.

No other Cancer Council sunscreen products are affected by this recall.

What is the problem?

This problem relates to a potential oil-water separation within the formula. This occurs when the product components do not remain uniformly mixed, which can affect how smoothly the sunscreen applies and consequently may impact its ability to spread evenly across the skin.

  • When a formula separates, the user experience and application of the formula may fall below the expected product specification standard.
  • Affected product may show one or more of the following: visible separation on the surface, a change in consistency, or an uneven texture when dispensed from the tube.
  • This problem may not be visible in all batches; however, we are recalling the potentially impacted batches produced.

What to do if you have the product?

If you have purchased one of these batches, discontinue use immediately.

Please return the product to the place of purchase for a refund, or contact Vitality Brands customer service at info@vitalitybrands.com or call 1300 364 515 for guidance on refund procedures.

Anyone who is concerned in any way about the use of this product can reach out or should consult their doctor.

Are any other Cancer Council products affected?

No other Cancer Council products have been affected.

We hope that this action, taken as a precaution, instils confidence in our commitment to delivering high quality and effective sunscreen.
