Journey of Hope
The collaboration between Riki Salam and Cancer Council raises awareness about Cancer Council’s commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities on our reconciliation journey.

Riki Salam is an accomplished artist and graphic designer who specialises in Indigenous art, design and communications. Born in Cairns on Yidindji Land he has connections to the Mualgal and Kaurareg Peoples of the Torres Straits and Kuku Yalanji People in Far North Queensland, Australia. He also has ties to Ngai Tahu in the South Island of New Zealand.

Pop-up Cabana Care and Instructions

Your Pop-up Cabana is easy to open and use and offers excellent sun protection. However it will not protect you from reflected UV rays and so we recommend the use of sunscreen, sunglasses, hats and protective clothing.

Care and Safety

  • Do not unpack close to small children.
  • Do not use in strong winds.
  • Avoid unpacking or abrading on concrete surfaces.
  • Do not store when wet or damp.

To Open

  1. Carefully uncoil the steel frame in an open area.
  2. Secure the sides of the cabana by filling the side pockets with sand. If necessary, use the included tent pegs as well.

Folding instruction

  1. Empty the sand pockets and draw the 2 side panels together.
  2. Bend the top of the frame away and down towards the middle of the bottom edge. Do not crease or overload the steel hoops.
  3. Take a step back and rotate hands 180 degrees so thumbs are pointing towards you. Continue moving the top of the frame so that it curves past the base and towards your feet. Allow one of the 2 vertical hoops to tuck inside the other.
  4. Form the hoops into circles which will collapse naturally on top of each other. Never forcefully bend the frame. Now slide the shelter into the carry bag.
